How Organizing Saves You Money
Some love to organize and some loathe it. But you may be pleasantly surprised that organizing can actually save you money!
Here are some tips we have on how organizing can save money:
1) Finding ‘lost’ items. We have all found that five dollars tucked in a dark corner of the guest room, or in the pocket of an old pair of jeans at least once in our life. And what a happy day that is?! You may also find items you thought were lost and would have to replace. You may find items you have forgotten about. Organizing will constantly surprise you. And although it doesn’t save money, finding long lost personal items is a nice added bonus.
2) While taking on large organizing projects, we tend to clean along the way. And if you don’t, you should start! Moving furniture? Clean the carpets while you’re at it. Organizing the fridge, kitchen cabinets, shoe closet? Wipe everything down while you’re at it. You may save yourself a professional cleaning bill later on. If you clean a little bit often, you’ll save yourself from badly stained carpets or spilled frozen soda in the fridge three years later.
3) Purge. Again, while organizing, many of us tend to get rid of things we no longer use or need. And again, if you don’t, now is the time to start! Put furniture, decor qne toys on Craigslist to sell items you don’t use or need. You’d be surprised how much cash you can make from organizing.
Happy organizing, all! Spring is on its way!
